Talk:Finances
Yes, I would like to continue being informed about this issue.
As you might well know, the Ideas Bank contains a "Share" section with entrepeneurial ideas, based on freelancers, for instance. Would this be regarded as a non mainstream fundraising, since it would aimed at individual SSF members' income and profit as well?)
By simply creating this page the sheffield social forum has created many problems for itself that need to be resolved. Although I impliciclty trust the people i believe to have created this page i think that they have created a contradiction within their outlook toward the sheffield social forum. On one hand there is the idea of simply 'creating political space', 'networking' and essentially not voting. On the other hand there is the idea of having solid votes and making concrete desicions, the sheffield social forum has not made this desicion yet and i believe it is important for us to not push the funding issue further untill the desicion is made.
Secondly, in this page it is implied that we may well have to create a constitution that compromises our aims/objectives with the aims/objectives of our possible funders. This to me seems very similar to many other community groups that have gone the same way and the whole point of the sheffield social forum is that we are politically independent of the regeneration money trail.
