The UK ESF Coordinating Committee would like to clarify that the Bloomsbury venues working group is the mandated group for dealing with venue bookings for the ESF in this area. This includes bookings for cultural space, in liaison with the culture working group, and ‘themed’ areas. Only bookings done by the Bloomsbury venues working group are subject to a fully inclusive, accountable and democratic ESF process that will allocate all the available space to the programme/cultural proposals made by organisations affiliated to the ESF. The meetings/cultural events arising from this process will then appear in the final programme for the ESF.

We would like to strongly encourage all organisations, groups and individuals to support the venues working group as part of a fully accountable and democratic ESF process. Any bookings made outside this process would undermine the democratic process of allocation and limit the amount of space available for organisations affiliated to the ESF.
