Draft guidelines for the relationship between local SFs and the wider SF movement
Note: these guidelines are meant only to be a list of desires - the central principles are communication and openness. Any more than this would perhaps be unnecessary.
First suggestions:
- That local social forums endeavour to communicate with each other as much as possible – to share ideas, successes, failures, to maintain the open ethos of the social forum movement, and to build trust and solidarity.
- That those working within the ESF process keep in touch with local social forums about any groups in their area they may have communicated with, so that we can build local connections, thereby keeping the social forum movement as close to the ground as possible.
- Local social forums should be outward looking and not be conspiring with each other or against each other.
