Minutes, Feb 6

downstairs kitchen

This was discussed twice. The eventual conclusion was that the downstairs kitchen can, as it has been, be used for preparing and eating skipped/freegan stuff that contains meat, provided the person doing so uses seperate utensils etc from the upstairs kitchen and cleans up after themselves. Anything stored in the kitchen should be vegetarian - milk ok, mutton no way.

new proposals

Some Swiss anarchists want to show their police-baiting film "Pig Brother" (ill name) at ours on Thurs Feb 16. They'll need expenses - 2 megabus tickets from Lahndan - and somewhere to stay. No collective is down for cooking that Thurs. Does a coll want to volunteer to do the cooking and faciltate the film? Or one group for each? Answers quick cos the Swiss need to sort themselves...

collective feedback trough

  • Cafe collective: All quiet on the kitchen front.
  • Ketamine collective: think they're the dogs after raising the bar for socials - props.
  • Gig collective: are doing an open-mic acoustic social on March 2 and are ahving a work evening this Tues and have lots of lovely gigs coming up.
  • Building collective: are now more organised.
  • Art collective: have some dangerous varnish and are stripping regularly (the gallery space is coming on).
  • CIRCA: the clowns have been on manouvres, have some training for new recruits lined up for March 25/26, and are jumping on the bus bandwagon.
  • Hacklab: the geeks keep marching on.

Faslane 365

There's a planning meeting about the continuous faslane blockade at the quaker meeting house, feb 28. Later planning, training etc may take place at matilda. 100 recruits are needed. NVDA training will be available. A good way of linking up with other groups in the city, which segues nicely into...

what can matilda do to link up better with the rest of the anti-cap movements?

An inconclusive discussion...noted that we're not doing badly at this already - informal networking seems to work well - concerns about inviting heirarchical/non-grassroots organisations - ???????? (that's all i got out of this bit, i was losing the will to live somewhat).

miscellaneous anouncements

There will be a womens' day extravaganza on Sat Mar 11, involving workshops during the day and cabaret by night. Start practising your vaudeville routines now.
